About Over The Top Events & Parties
Over The Top Events & Parties is a Sacramento-based event planning and production firm specializing in corporate, nonprofit, civic, and community events across Northern California. We partner with organizations to design, plan, and execute events and programs that drive engagement, strengthen communities, and support organizational goals.
Founded by Teresa Mixon, the company provides event strategy, planning, program and operations management, and full-scale production for a wide range of events—from corporate gatherings and ribbon cuttings to community festivals and nonprofit initiatives.
Our approach integrates strategy, planning, and operational execution—ensuring alignment across stakeholders, clear processes, and seamless delivery from concept through completion.
Meet Teresa Mixon
The Founder of Over The Top Events & Parties, a Sacramento-based program and event management firm supporting corporate, civic, nonprofit, educational, and community-based organizations across Northern California.
With more than 13 years of experience in strategic planning, operations, stakeholder coordination, and event production, Teresa helps organizations move public-facing initiatives, programs, milestones, and events from concept to successful implementation.
Her work sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. She supports clients by building planning structures, coordinating partners and vendors, managing timelines, aligning stakeholders, and leading the operational details needed to deliver high-quality experiences with purpose and professionalism.
Teresa has supported a wide range of projects, including statewide conferences, community engagement programs, ribbon cuttings, grand openings, public-facing launches, nonprofit fundraisers, corporate gatherings, and school-based initiatives. Her past work includes projects connected to UC San Diego, Sacramento County community initiatives, Anton Development, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, Bay City Electric Works, Sierra Railroad / Sierra Energy, Cool Schools Yolo, Tree Davis, Washington Unified School District, VNARP, CAIR, and the California Black Women’s Health Project.
As OTTEP continues to evolve, Teresa’s focus is on helping organizations that need more than event logistics. Her approach brings together strategic planning, program and operations management, stakeholder engagement, and execution support so clients can deliver work that is organized, aligned, and meaningful.
Whether supporting a public agency initiative, community program, corporate milestone, development launch, educational conference, or nonprofit engagement effort, Teresa brings a calm, structured, and relationship-centered approach to moving complex projects forward.

OTTEP is led by Teresa Mixon and supported by trusted advisors, event managers, planners, creatives, and trained event staff. Depending on the project scope, our team supports planning, vendor coordination, guest experience, event operations, and on-site execution.
Founder / Strategic Lead Teresa leads OTTEP’s client strategy, planning direction, project oversight, vendor coordination, and public-facing execution. With more than a decade of experience supporting corporate, nonprofit, civic, education, and community-based events, Teresa brings structure, creativity, operational leadership, and a calm command of moving parts to every project.

In her event role with the Sacramento Kings, her experience in high-volume event environments, LaPreia supports OTTEP with day-of leadership, guest experience, team coordination, operational flow, and on-site event management.

Event Planner & Creative CoordinatorTiejiera brings a creative, artistic, and service-centered perspective to OTTEP’s event team. She attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and brings a strong visual eye to planning, design support, and event coordination. She also worked in the event environment with the Sacramento Kings as an Ambassador.

Junior Event Planner & Creative SupportDstony C. brings both creative talent and hands-on support experience to OTTEP. She has worked alongside Teresa as an event assistant and now supports OTTEP with day-of coordination, and event execution. By day, Dstony works in insurance, and by night she is a talented artist. She has created large-scale murals and art pieces for community events.

Junior Event PlannerArianna M. has grown up around OTTEP and has supported event planning and production since she was young. She is a full-time student at Sac State pursuing H.S. and brings organization, professionalism, and a strong understanding of service to the OTTEP team. She has also hosted and supported events through high school and is an active member of Sacramento Black Honors Club.
