Hosted by the Woodland Tree Foundation in collaboration with OTTEP, Dingle Elementary brought together 120 volunteers for a vibrant day of tree planting, music, games, and food. The event celebrated the school’s close-knit community and their deep appreciation for trees and one another.
OTTEP led full event planning and execution, including site layout, volunteer registration, vendor sourcing, kids’ activities, and day-of coordination.
Special thanks to the Dingle Elementary staff, families, volunteers, and our partners—including Locos Tacos and the Westmore Oaks PTA—for making this event such a meaningful success.

The Cool Schools Yolo tent offered hands-on learning about the benefits of trees, climate action, and eco-friendly schoolyards. Kids enjoyed games, leaf rubbings, and tree-themed crafts, while families explored how trees support cooler, healthier campuses. A fun, engaging way to inspire future environmental stewards!

We used sidewalk chalk as a creative outlet—drawing art and writing thought-provoking questions like “Why are trees so important?” to spark curiosity and conversation throughout the event.
